Social Media Tips
Here are a few tips to encourage your social media community to share your content.
If you only remember one thing from this post it is this: Social media definitely is not a one-way channel, unlike TV and radio , social media depends on two-way conversation for marketing success.
You have to give back to your followers with direct contact, awesome links, and real value every time you make a post or write a new blog. You have to create a true connection with your audience and get them involved in what you are saying or doing. Social media marketing is not just about one-way input and endless tweeting, posts on Facebook, Video uploads and the like, it’s about real, valuable connections.
Always add sharing tools to the bottom of your blog posts.
I overlooked this for a long time until one of the my team members mentioned ” I just looked at your blog and I did not see anyway a visiter can share your posts”. I realized I dropped the ball there. So now, I always add a link or a button to any of my blogs or posts just in cases someone finds my information interesting enough to send it to their friends or list. Since I started doing this my following has doubled so it does work.

Henry,
You are so right about creating connections with people. I know personally when I’m on my Twitter or FaceBook, I tend to just ignore the people that are always throwing ads up as their status. The persons that catch my attention are the people that are real. The people that had eggs and bacon for breakfast.
I’d also like to mention that I’ve been overlooking the same thing. After reading this post, I’ll have to do some digging so I can get a “share this” link on my blog posts as well! What an excellent idea!
