I would like to thank you for visiting my blog site. I started developing the site about a month ago and I have quite a bit to finish but at least it is a start. I say this because starting a project like a blog site is the First Step and probably the most important step in building your presence on line or what I like to call Branding Yourself.
I guess it is like making a New Years Resolution which I am sure you have all made one time or another. Our resolution sounds great when we make the Resolution but for some reason we never take that First Step, it just get’s put off till the next day and then to the next week, etc.. Does this sound familiar? Don’t get me wrong, I have done the exact thing and still procrastinate from time to time but I know that the things I procrastinate about will not affect my lively hood as a professional marketer, business owner, husband, good friend, etc. When people are counting on you to come through, whether it is starting a blog site or a serious family matter , you better not procrastinate.
A quick example: Recently I had a conference call with a group of founders in a business I am doing. All nine of us made a commitment to each other to have the shell of all our blog sites finished by the end of February. As a founder and a leader of our main group what kind of an example would this set if I procrastinated and did not finish on time, definitely a very poor example. This example can be applied to just about any thing you do in business or in life in general.
Being a leader myself, I see people that join a company and say they want to succeed and will do what it takes, no matter what, to get there. A week, then a month goes by and they never follow through on their commitment, just like making that New Years Resolution. Why they didn’t, it’s the million dollar question. You can give a person all the tools, all the help and support they would ever need to succeed and they never take the first step, which still amazes me every time I see it happen.
Long story short, set goals and finish them and never set a totally unrealistic goal because you are doomed for failure. Try setting smaller goals that are more realistic to achieve. I personally set a goal, as did my parters, to finish the shell of our blog by the end of February and we all succeeded with that short term goal. I did this, not just for myself but for my other partners who are counting on me. That’s what team work is all about! Remember it is always easier to achieve what you want if you have the support of others no matter if is a short or long term goal.

Hello Henry,
First of all I would like to commend you for setting
a good example for creating your blog and finishing it
on time. It only proves that you are a good leader.
I also like the set up of your blog.
